Happiness is...

Happiness is...
Driving into a village on a Saturday afternoon and seeing kids lining the sides of the road, lessons in hand, waiting to be picked up for church.

Happiness is...
Hearing a bunch of children in the back of the van reviewing their memory verse on the way to church.

Happiness is...
Hearing the sound of rustling pages while preaching the Word of God.

Happiness is...
Having to wait a few extra seconds to start reading your text, because you have new Christians in the church.

Happiness is...
Hearing a man in the church ask you a question about something he read in his Bible that week.

Happiness is...
Driving through the narrow streets of a crowded city and realizing that out of the thousands of people standing along the streets, it is easy to pick out the ones waiting for a ride to church...they are smiling.

Happiness is...
Receiving a text message from a man in the church informing you that he just led two people to Christ.

Happiness is...
Challenging a new convert to try to be up to John chapter 12 by next Sunday, then when Sunday arrives, asking him how far he got and he answers, "I'm done."

Happiness is...
Seeing the sparkle in the eyes of a teenaged girl as you present her with the first Bible she has ever owned in her life.

Happiness is...
Asking a trick question in mid-week Bible study, and nobody falls for it.

Happiness is...
Teaching a Sunday School lesson about "How To Give A Clear Salvation Testimony," then having a woman come to the evening service and tell you that she went straight home after the morning service and shared her personal testimony with 3 longtime friends.

Happiness is...
Picking up a new Christian for church and the first thing out of his mouth is, "Pastor, I prayed about something this week and God answered."

Happiness is...
Listening to someone you led to Christ a few years ago teaching a room full of children about Jesus.

Happiness is...
Having a church member come up to you after church and ask for a stack of tracts, because the ones in the rack have all been taken.

Happiness is...
Listening to a group of Cambodian believers singing "Jesus Loves Even Me" at the top of their lungs.

Happiness is...
Hearing a teenager heartily singing "All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name" just a little off-key, because you know she's not trying to impress anyone, but rather, she is worshiping her Lord.

Happiness is...
Teaching the song "Take Time To Be Holy" to your church, and having them fall in love with it.

Happiness is...
Seeing a middle-class woman greet a poor woman with a hug and knowing that they've become friends since they met at the cross.

Happiness is...
Serving Jesus in Cambodia.

  1. We can define "happiness" in many ways also we can express it. But one thing is the most important for me that the real happiness is serving Jesus and living in him. :)
